We do this by offering a:

Free Business Help Session – taking time to understand your business – where it has come from, how well personal and business goals are aligned, growth plans, business strengths and weakness.

This will usually unveil areas where some business management guidance and support my help the directors and the business to achieve your ambitions. Or not! There is no commitment or obligation.

We also offer:

Free to attend Business Seminars – often in partnership with Local Authorities; Growth Hubs; Chambers of Commerce; Federation of Small Businesses; Banks; Accountants and other professional organisations.

Regional Director – Mike Wenham

About Mike: Mike studied biochemistry and spent the early years of his career carrying out research into insect physiology. He subsequently moved in the commercial world to set up and run his own small business and then spent almost 25 years in the IT sector in executive and senior management roles for both UK based SME’s and global corporate organisations. He is an experienced business leader with expertise in managing and developing the sales, marketing, operations and technical functions for businesses. Immediately prior to joining the Pro-actions group in 2011 he spent four years as Area Manager for Business Link South East where he managed a team of Business Advisers working with SME owners. Mike has a keen interest in all forms of motor sport and, although he used to compete, he now limits his involvement to being a spectator. Mike works alongside a number of Business Improvement Specialists in Kent helping SMEs to achieve their full potential. Meet with your local Pro-actions specialist by calling us today!

Derek has over 35 years’ experience as a very successful senior sales, marketing and general manager in a range of companies and industries. They include major multinationals as well as four successful start-up companies.

Over the past few years he has been a business coach using his wide experience to help the growth of many small businesses across a range of sectors.

As a Pro-actions Business Coach his experience allows him to understand what the issues and challenges that business owners have and, having launched three successful start-ups and had a major role in the setup of a fourth, he understands what they are going through. Through careful discussion and understanding the needs of businesses and their leaders he is able to work with the owners to bring about the changes needed to influence, adapt and positively change their businesses through improved planning, controls, and targeted activities.

Derek is based near Sevenoaks and covers the West Kent area.

David left school and completed an apprenticeship in the printing industry as a qualified colour printer. Over the next five years he moved into various supervisory roles ending up as Machine Room Manager.

He then spent five years in South Africa working in the printing industry as Shift Manager in charge of production and manufacturing efficiency.

Over the next twenty years David held senior management roles as Operations Director, Manufacturing Director, Vice President of Manufacturing and Managing Director, working as part of senior management teams completing successful business turn rounds.

For the last eight years he has worked in business consultancy roles, helping organisations to improve efficiency, eliminate waste, maximise sales and marketing and deliver improved cash flow and profits.

As a Pro-actions Business Coach David covers the West Sussex area.

Leon qualified with a degree in textiles and spent some twenty years in this environment working in both the UK and South Africa in sales and later as a director of a textile and development company.

On returning to the UK he developed a career in the hospitality industry culminating in operating a group of pubs in the South East.

After successfully selling this business he set up a business development consultancy providing advice for start-up companies. He also worked with Enterprise Agencies providing workshops for start-up businesses and one-to-one assistance in structuring SMEs, offering advice on developing business plans, marketing, business structure, finance and cash control.

As a Pro-actions Business Coach Leon now provides coaching and support for the owners of established SMEs in East Sussex as well as offering specialist assistance to businesses in the licensed hospitality sector across the South East.

Allan has spent most of his career in banking looking after business clients ranging from sole traders to AIM listed companies with turnovers up to £100m.
Between 1999 and 2002 he came out of banking and worked for a firm of Chartered Accountants alongside running his own business consultancy. He found this period an invaluable time, taking him “to the other side of the desk”. Here he gained real first-hand experience of the issues faced by SMEs, from finance and sales, to HR and health & safety and, not least, cash flow to name a few.
The most rewarding time of his career has been spent with clients. Working with them to grow their businesses, seeing ideas come to fruition and, on occasions, checking they are the right ones, provided a buzz. Helping proprietors grow their businesses and wealth as well as seeing succession plans work was a very fulfilling experience.
Allan is a family man, with a wife and three daughters of whom they are very proud. Personal interests include golf (“don’t play enough”) and reading (historical novels and biographies mainly). He is a patient person, being a West Ham United supporter from age six!
In July 2014 he left the world of banking and at the beginning of 2015 joined Pro-actions. Based in Canterbury, Allan covers the East Kent area.

Having studied business administration, Tim has spent 17 years working in the transportation sector for a number of London’s large operators. Working amongst the respective senior leadership teams to support TfL (Transport for London) performance goals and objectives, he has in-depth experience of both tendered and commercial business environments. This includes the development of local authority stakeholder relations and other key partnerships. Tim has extensive experience within operating and personnel management, including process improvement, staff restructuring and the associated consultation processes.

He is passionate about helping others unlock their potential and is also a certified personal coach. He is married with two young children and enjoys watching them grow. In his spare time, Tim attempts (with little success) to beat his wife at squash. He is a school governor and chairman of a local charity in his hometown of Reigate.

As a Pro-actions Business Coach Tim now provides business coaching and support for the owners of established SMEs in Surrey, as well as offering specialist personal performance coaching to individuals around Reigate, Dorking, Guildford and the surrounding areas.

Chris has over 25 years’ experience in senior sales, marketing and customer service roles within the IT sector.

After leaving the ‘corporate’ world to work in the local community, Chris brings his considerable experience to bear as a Pro-actions Business Coach, helping owners of SMEs in Sussex to realise their full potential. Chris provides one-to-one consulting services around the development of business plans, marketing, sales growth, operational structure and finance.

Chris is based in the heart of Sussex where he lives with his wife and three teenage children. He is a keen motorcyclist and while not a racer himself, enjoys following Moto GP and the Isle of Man TT races.
